The Cabrach is located in the heart of Speyside, one of the foremost whisky regions in Scotland. Over half of all Scottish distilleries can be found in Speyside and Speyside single malts are noted in general for their elegance and complexity, with their high quality and distinctive light and fruity flavours. The Cabrach will be a premium single malt whisky.
Historically, peat was used in the malting of Cabrach whisky, giving the spirit a lightly smoked flavour. Combined with this, an ancient strain of barley, known as ‘bere’, gave the whisky a sweeter flavour. This combines to give Cabrach whisky a rare and distinctive flavour.
